Schedule/Shift: Full time; M-F, 8:30am - 5:00pm; After-hours phone consultation (see description).

Salary: $66,000/annual

Position Overview:  

Trinity Services is a social services agency based in New Lenox, IL which provides care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental illness. The Trinity Services Peoria office is conveniently located on Route 6 in Northern Peoria, making that site easily accessible from IL-74/Highway 40.   

This full-time position in Peoria includes an appealing Monday to Friday daytime in-office schedule from 8:30 am to 5 pm, and ability to remotely consult our in-home DSPs. (Residents in our group homes are supported by in-home Direct Support Professionals (DSP) who administer medications and occasionally seek guidance from the RN for out of the ordinary medical questions as they occur).

The Peoria RN will coordinate medical services for adults supported in our residential homes and crisis prevention program. These responsibilities include collaborating with professional colleagues in the community such as physicians, nurses, therapists, labs and local hospitals. Alongside other members of the Peoria team, the RN helps to coordinate medical care including annual health appointments and assessments, specialists and other health needs. 

The Peoria RN serves as a leader and educator, as the RN will have the opportunity to provide medication administration training to DSPs, on-the job training and oversight, and consultation for medical and medication reviews.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Registered Nurse through the State of Illinois

One year of clinical experience in the last five years, preferably working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
