Trinity Celebrates the Opening of Community Health Center

On Thursday, February 27, 2025, Trinity Services celebrated the grand opening of its new Community Health Center at 2000 Glenwood Avenue in Joliet, offering outpatient therapy, homeless services, and Living Room supports. The health center is located at 2000 Glenwood Avenue and is made possible by a Will County American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Grant.
A large crowd was on hand for the reception and ribbon cutting ceremony that featured Thane Dykstra, Ph.D., President and CEO of Trinity Services, as well as members of the Trinity Services and Trinity Foundation Boards of Directors, including Raymond D. McShane, Greg Geuther, Barbara Hall, and John Slack. Dykstra and Bonnie Hassan, Director of Outpatient Services, did the honors and cut the ribbon.
Hassan is happy to see the center become a reality. “For a long time, we have wanted a place where people can come and receive multiple levels of care and take advantage of many different services, all in one convenient location,” explained Hassan. “Ideally, we would like this site to become a certified community health center, which requires adding psychiatry services and nursing support. We are also in the process of obtaining a substance use license that will allow us to provide outpatient care on multiple levels.”
