Trinity Hosts Studio 22 Open House!
On Friday, January 10, Trinity Services hosted an open house for the Studio 22 community day services program in New Lenox.
In 2022, Trinity Services converted the former warehouse into a recording studio and space for other program activities that feature a music room and an aquaponics system. Aquaponics is a cooperation between plants and fish forming a recirculating ecosystem utilizing natural bacteria cycles to convert fish waste into plant nutrition.
“We have been featuring a different community day services program each month for the past year and opening them up to families, Trinity staff, and the public to see what we are doing,” said Stephanie Behlke Leigh, Director of Community Day Services.
“Today, we’re having our Studio 22 open house and showcasing the recording studio," added Behlke Leigh. "We are recording our cover of “Lean on Me” by Bo Withers. We will blend all the voices to make them sound like one choir. Program participants engineer the song, edit it, and assist with the equipment. Seeing all the creativity coming out of this program is very exciting.”
