On Thursday, January 9, 2025, Trinity participants from The Branch celebrated Law Enforcement Appreciation Day by bringing baked goods to the New Lenox Police Department.

“This was their way of saying thank you,” said Laura Neuhardt, who manages The Branch program for Trinity Services.  “We enjoyed meeting the Chief of Police and the members of the New Lenox Police Department."

Branch members Stephanie K, Kara S, Samantha C, Mark L, Heather M, Brendan W, and Lars R participated in the trip to the New Lenox Police Department. Trinity staff members included Laura Neuhardt and Jolanta Smolinskas.

The Branch, a unique employment program tailored to young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who recently graduated from high school, is a place where they can develop their skills and focus on their chosen areas of interest. The center provides a space for young adults to socialize, reach personal goals, volunteer, pursue hobbies, and actively participate in the community surrounding the program.
