Statement on COVID-19
Dear Trinity families and supporters,
We are aware that the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) is creating much anxiety and uncertainty day-to-day. This is an unprecedented situation in our lifetimes, but it is one that we must face calmly.
At Trinity Services, we continue to monitor the situation as it unfolds, and we maintain communication with and follow guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) and the Division of Developmental Disabilities.
We are currently taking precautions against the spread of the virus by encouraging our staff members and the people we support to increase handwashing and follow proper handwashing protocols; avoid large gatherings of people; and stay home when they are feeling sick or if they believe they have been in contact with someone who is symptomatic. Additionally, we have increased sanitation practices at all of our locations, disinfecting high-touch surfaces regularly. Our goal is to be proactive, to keep people healthy and safe, rather than reactive.
In the circumstance that someone we support was to contract the coronavirus, we would ensure that person receives the medical attention he or she needs and would follow guidance from IDPH to do everything possible to prevent further transmission of the virus.
We take the health and well-being of the people we support, our staff and our supporters very seriously. We will continue to do everything we can to ensure their health and safety, and we will continue to communicate with you as we navigate through this situation.
Sincerely,
Your Friends at Trinity Services
