Horticulture Spring Sale

JOLIET, IL — The Horticulture Program at Trinity Services is full of color and beauty as program participants prepare for the annual Spring Sale.

The program, located at 100 N. Gougar Road in Joliet, will be open to the public from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 12, and from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday, May 14-18, for the sale.

All flowers and plants have been grown and cared for by people with developmental disabilities who attend the program. Proceeds from sales benefit the program so that it can continue to provide educational and recreational opportunities for the people Trinity supports.

At the Spring Sale, shoppers may choose from a variety of flowers, vegetables, plants, grasses, herbs and more.

Flowers include dahlias, marigolds, snapdragons, verbenas, impatiens and petunias. Vegetables include peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers. Both flowers and vegetables are available in $15 flats and $2 cells. Wave petunias are sold in $27 flats and $10 cells.

Hanging baskets range from $15.50-$19. Herbs, including basil, cilantro, lemongrass, rosemary and more, are $3 each. Grasses are $4-$8. Window boxes are $28 each. And individual plants, including geraniums, superbells and ivy, range from $4-$5 each.
