Trinity Services Celebrates 75 Years of Helping People Flourish!

 

This year marks the 75th Anniversary of Trinity Services, one of the largest human service organizations in Illinois. 

Founded in 1950, Trinity Services has become a nationally recognized leader in the fields of developmental disabilities and behavioral health.  

"This is a very special time for Trinity Services," said Thane Dykstra, Ph.D., President and CEO.  "We look forward to celebrating with our friends, families, and local communities that have been instrumental to our continued success."

The yearlong celebration features several fundraising events, including the Tom O'Reilly golf tournament at Ruffled Feathers Golf Club on May 20; Trinity Triumph 5K Walk and Run at the Village Commons on June 24; Better Together Dinner Dance and Auction at DiNolfo's on September 18, and An Evening of Holiday Music and Concert Gala at Butterfield Country Club on December 5.

Please join us at the grand opening reception for Prairie Trail at the Landings to be held at 418 Landings Drive in New Lenox on Thursday, May 12 from 3 – 6 pm.
 
Prairie Trail at the Landings is a new housing community for adults with disabilities made possible by the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) and Will County.
 
Prairie Trail at the Landings includes twenty-two one-bedroom and three three-bedroom units, each equipped with its own kitchen, bathroom, living space and storage. The building’s first floor is staffed by Trinity Services personnel, who provide residents with support in areas such as budgeting, job counseling, social skills and cooking.
 
According to State officials, a waiting list for this type of housing has generated interest from more than 10,000 adults with disabilities throughout Illinois.
 
Speakers scheduled for the grand opening celebration include Trinity Services President and CEO Thane A. Dykstra, Ph.D., New Lenox Mayor Tim Baldermann, as well as representatives from the IHDA.
